- The Roland Color Library is a great tool for achieving predictable color on your Roland Printer. In order to assist in the design stage of produc- tion, Roland VersaWorks (Version 2.6.2 and higher) includes Swatch Library files for CorelDraw.

VersaWorks is a registered trademark of Roland DG Corp. Windows and Windows NT. Part 4: Contour Cutting. You can also download updated data. Choose what to download. Register as a spot color in Illustrator's swatch library.
Nope not going to happen. You need a graphic program to install the CutContour swatch spot color. Most users use AI, Corel, or Flexi. However, if you have a program or app that can make spot colors and name it the above, and it allows you to place that spot color where you want to cut, further it saves or exports the file as a PDF or EPS file - then, maybe then you will be in luck. Those are system requirements. You can however print jpgs or pdfs without cuts by loading it into the RIP program.
Thank you. I was hoping there was away to just install the CutContour swatch spot color file on the computer one way or another so VersaWorks would be able to find it. So theoretically I could install an older version of AI or install Corel, and even though she is never going to create the graphics and add the CutContour - we'll simply email her the files for output, the VersaWorks program will then recognize the CutContour spot color, show the 'running ants' and then cut?

Thanks again. I do have the disc and I'm looking into color management/profiles on the PC. I just find it hard to believe I can't mimic it..guess I'll find out.
I'm starting by putting all similar .icc files (print spool files and appdata) as well as .dll files on to the PC we only want to use to send files prepared by the designers to print.
If I figure it out how to 'fool' the windows system, I'll post.

Alright..so I tried to mimic the PC having Illustrator and had no luck. So I installed Illustrator 132.0.0 (CS3) onto the machine and whereas I can now open the .eps files and it does show the CutContour swatch and stroke, VersaWorks still does not recognize it. There is nothing to flatten. Could it be the old version of Illustrator?
